Excellence and Innovation in Education Teacher Grants

The District 112 Foundation is proud to invest in academic innovation and excellence in Eastern Carver County Schools. The Foundation’s Teacher Grants are a great resource for educators with project ideas that enhance student achievement and motivation to learn. All grants must align with Eastern Carver County Schools’ learning philosophy of engaging, inspiring and empowering students to achieve their personal best. Grants that include technology-related items will need to have IT department approval prior to purchasing items, so you may want to confirm with the IT department that your request will be approved prior to applying. In general, high-value criteria include innovation, sustainability, scalability, educational value, student impact and the ability to leverage community support or funding.

The Teacher Grant Process

The District 112 Foundation Grant Committee reviews each grant application it receives. Additional information may be requested from the applicant, school administrators, or curriculum coordinators. Applications chosen for funding by the committee are then recommended to the Foundation’s Board of Directors for approval.

All completed grant applications will be reviewed by the District 112 Foundation’s Grant Committee and scored based on innovation, sustainability, feasibility, and impact on student learning. Applications that clearly meet more criteria will generally be viewed more favorably during evaluation. In some instances, the Foundation is not able to fund all requests due to budgetary constraints. This does not mean that a rejected application is inappropriate or unsatisfactory.

Eligibility, Preferences, and Conditions for Teacher Grants:

-Funding is only available to projects impacting Eastern Carver County Schools, staff, or students. Projects must be submitted and led by an Eastern Carver County Schools’ employee.

-There is no limit on the number of proposals or awards a staff member may submit or receive. Similarly, there is no limit on the number of awards an individual school or department may receive.

-Applications that are received outside of our application guidelines and deadlines will not be considered.

-If your project is funded, the Foundation will require a final report one month after the project is completed. Failure to complete a final report will impact any future requests for funding.
