Mary Mobeck

Mary Mobeck grew up in Boston, MA, but has lived in Chaska for the past 38 years. She and her husband, Tom, have 3 sons who all attended Chaska High School. Mary has a BA from Gustavus Adolphus College in Elementary and Special Education  (1982) and a Masters of Teaching and Learning from St. Mary’s College in Winona (2004). Mary taught for over 30 years in District 112 and retired at the end of the 2019-2020 school year. She taught mostly 2nd and 3rd grade and also Special Ed. During her tenure, Mary was actively involved with many school committees (Site Council, Equity Committee, Mentorship programs, Building Leadership Team) and also served as a Professional Development Representative and as a CEA Union building rep. Mary attended many National Education Conventions during her career and network with schools across the nation.

Mary prides herself on being a life- long learner and education has always been her top priority. Serving on the District 112 Foundation Board is another wonderful opportunity to help support the students, parents, and educators in our community. She hopes to bring the perspective of an educator and also a parent to her role.

Mary’s hobbies include reading, biking, golfing, Pickleball, and being a grandma to her 4 adorable grandsons!
