Excellence in Education Award Program

Teacher of the Year & Support Staff Person of the Year

To recognize outstanding teaching and support, the District 112 Foundation proudly hosts the annual Excellence in Education Awards program in cooperation with Eastern Carver County Schools. The Excellence in Education Award Program (Teacher of the Year & Support Staff of the Year) celebrates teachers and support staff pursuing the best possible public education for students in our district. Each spring, we recognize these professionals.

Program Guidelines

Anyone (student, parent, teacher, principal/supervisor, community member) can nominate a teacher or support staff, but each person may submit only one nomination. Teachers and staff may not self-nominate. Ideal candidates will have daily contact with students and will encourage them to build confidence, to learn, and to achieve. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a thorough knowledge of their subject matter and will share it effectively with students, and will make positive contributions within the school community while actively supporting the mission and vision of Eastern Carver County Schools.

The nomination process is simple and takes involved and caring individuals to make it happen. Your participation is greatly appreciated and integral to making this award a meaningful endeavor. Please review the guidelines below. If you have questions, contact the District 112 Foundation at mmccurry@district112foundation.org.
